About NCEF
Created in 1997 by the U.S. Department of Education and managed by the National Institute of Building Sciences, the National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities (NCEF) provides information and research on planning, designing, financing, constructing, improving, operating, and maintaining safe, healthy, high performance public nursery, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten-through-grade-12 schools, and higher education facilities.
